Primo giorno, prime emozioni allo Stadio Quercia - First day, first emotions at the Quercia Stadium

L’attesa è finita, il Torneo Internazionale Città della Pace è finalmente iniziato: oggi infatti le squadre hanno iniziato ad arrivare allo stadio Quercia per gli accrediti, primo ed importantissimo momento della manifestazione. Quest’anno saranno ben 15 le nazioni partecipanti: non mancheranno tedeschi, francesi, svizzeri, spagnoli ed olandesi, ma anche squadre provenienti dall’Albania, dalla Bosnia, dalla Serbia e dal Kosovo. Ospiti di Rovereto saranno anche la Finlandia e la repubblica di San Marino, mentre le squadre italiane verranno davvero da tutta la penisola. Giappone e Kuwait sono invece le nazioni più distanti dall’Italia. La novità di quest’anno però è sicuramente la Lettonia, al suo esordio al Torneo della Pace con la sua squadra di rugby. L’altra novità di è infatti il rugby, con quattro che si sfideranno al campo di Noriglio sabato e domenica.

Questa sera alle 19 la giornata si concluderà con il tradizionale Meeting dei Team Leader, che si terrà nel nuovo Teatro Zandonai: sarà un incontro di benvenuto con le autorità locali ed i rappresentanti delle squadre, animato da spettacoli di danza moderna (a cura dell’asd Scarpette Gialle) e hip hop (con Johnny Ozn e Dave, The Dirty’s e Defant Breaking Team). Domani alle 9, invece, Rovereto sarà invasa dai 2500 atleti che sfileranno per le vie del centro città.

First day, first emotions at the Quercia Stadium

Wait is over, the International Tournament Città della Pace has finally started: today the teams started arriving at the Quercia Stadium for the accreditations, first and very important moment of the Tournament. This year there will be 15 nations from all over the world: there will be Germans, French, Swiss, Spanish, Dutch, but also teams from Albania, Bosnia, Serbia and Kosovo. Guests will also be Finland and San Marino Republic, while the Italian teams will come from the whole country. Japan and Kuwait are obviously the furthest Nations. This year’s news is Latvia, at their first year in the Tournament with their rugby team. The other news in fact is rugby, with four teams playing in Noriglio, Saturday and Sunday.

Tonight at 7 p.m. the day will end with the Team Leader’s Meeting at the new Zandonai Theatre: the loca authorities will welcome the team leaders; the Meeting is animated by hip hop (Johnny Ozn e Dave, The Dirty’s e Defant Breaking Team) and modern dance (asd Scarpette Gialle). Tomorrow at 9 a.m. there will be the beginning of the parade along the streets of Rovereto.
